WEEKLY SPELLING PRACTICE IN SECOND GRADE
Every week in second grade the students practice spelling with a variety of special activities. One of the most popular is the spelling box. Each student chooses a card with a spelling word from the box and he or she must try to spell the word correctly. His or her classmates try to guess the word. Sometimes the class even spilts into groups to make the game more competitive.
