Boards Up in 5th Grade

"BOARDS UP" IN FIFTH GRADE

Spelling is a skill that should be acquired by bilingual children in order to be completely immersed in the language. In order to practice their spelling skills the 5ºD students recently played the game “Boards Up”. To play Boards Up the students each have an individual white board where they must write the word previously said by the teacher. By doing this, it allows the teachers to see who is able to spell a word correctly and who isn't. Besides, it was also helpful for students to see their own mistakes and to improve with their skill development. It a quick, efficent, active and fun game but it was also a way to learn!
